Welcome to the Blog

If you’re here, chances are you’re juggling a lot — work, family, plans, dreams, and the everyday questions that somehow feel bigger than they should. This blog was created as a place to talk about all of it.

Roots & Roam has always been about real life. The places we call home, the places we explore, and the routines that hold everything together in between. This space is an extension of that idea — a place to share thoughts, lessons, and experiences from life and business, without pretending everything is perfectly polished.

You’ll find a mix of things here. Some posts will touch on real estate and navigating big transitions. Some will dive into travel — the planning, the dreaming, and the reality of making it work with real schedules. Others will be about food, routines, and the small systems that make everyday life feel a little easier. And sometimes, it will just be reflections on life as it is, in the season it’s in.

This isn’t meant to be a how-to guide for doing everything “right.” It’s a place for thoughtful conversation, practical insights, and honest perspective — shared with the hope that it helps you feel a little more grounded and a little less alone.

However you found your way here, I’m glad you did. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Here for the journey — wherever life takes you.

Nice blog Em. I feel very inspired and proud of the woman you have become. Life can weigh heavy from time to time but having an outlet or someone to talk to is so very important. We may not all agree or have the same experiences but listening and being respectful of each others views is not only adulty(😉) but badly lacking these days. Keep up with your journaling on this journey, time flies by faster than you realize❤️
